The Big Hollow Art Department is committed to a compresensive art program for our students. The goal of the program is to help our students discover the visual arts by studying the art and artists of different periods and cultures. The students will also experience creating and developing art by using different mediums and techniques through numerous hands-on activities and projects.

Through art education our students will develop visual literacy, increase critical and creative thinking processes that will give them the skills of problem solving in a variety of ways and learn to view art as a reflection of our world.

Art education will increase the quality of our children's lives by helping them become aware of the world, themselves and others through visual arts.
