Dinner Dance

An evening of dinner, dancing, and auctions/raffles with special events to benefit our school district. Entertainment will be provided and a photographer available to capture the evening as well as that perfect photo of you and your significant other.

Volunteer Opportunities: All parents can support the Dinner Dance by purchasing tickets. Additionally volunteers are needed to help collect raffle items.

Market Day

Market day is an ongoing fund-raising food co-op that provides “restaurant and deli quality” products for your family while earning money for the PTO at the same time. When comparing prices, please keep in mind that 10% of this list price goes directly to the PTO. Market Day items offered range from butcher quality meats and poultry, convenience foods, snacks and nuts, cheeses, frozen fruits and vegetables, delicious desserts and monthly specials. Order forms are even nutrition coded to indicate “heart healthy” selections.

Volunteer Opportunities: All parents can support Market Day by placing orders. Please share your order form with neighbors, friends, relatives and co-workers. Pick up dates are listed in the calendar for each month; pick up times are always 4-5 pm. Delivery is available for a minimal charge. In addition, your help is always welcome on pick up dates in order to unload the truck, sort and stock food, and check orders.

Popcorn/Spirit Day

School Spirit/Popcorn Days are held the first Friday of each month. Bags of popcorn are sold at lunchtime for 25˘ each, and students and faculty are asked to wear their school colors, blue and white.

Volunteer Opportunities: All parents can support Popcorn/Spirit Day by making sure students bring a quarter with them and wear the school colors. Volunteers are also needed to pop and bag the popcorn on the morning of Spirit Day, sell bags to students and clean-up. Each grade is responsible to cover 2 months of the school year. You may bring younger children to the activity.

Turn Off T.V. Week

Come out and celebrate a week of No TV during our Turn-Off TV Week activities where various activities are planned each night. All students who attend each night receive a free Scholastic book.

All parents can support Turn-Off TV Week by attending the event with your children. In addition, volunteers are needed to help with admissions, set-up, refreshments and clean-up.

Other Activities and Events

Many other programs and volunteer opportunities arise throughout the year. These are discussed and planned at the PTO meetings held the first Thursday of each month at 7pm at the Primary building. We welcome and encourage all families to attend and childcare is always available at the meetings. Your input and ideas are valued highly -- hope to see you there!
